Dear Khushank,

Well done with the magic tricks Tootly and FunnyMouth have taught you! Could you read and sing all the notes by yourself? I see you’ve sung very well! Keep up the good work and here are some stars from Magician Tootly for you ✨🎩✨✨🎩

Dear Parent,

Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.

Khushank has sung well. Please also see our point-wise feedback below:

Confidence and Independence – excellent
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – excellent **
Rhythm – excellent
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good*

Notes: In case Khushank needs some revision on recognising the musical symbols corectly, you can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading. We will also share a memory and matching games separately that will help him in this. We also note that while he sings well and correctly, he is singing in a higher pitch than needed. As advised in the live meet, please continue to guide him to ‘whisper’ or sing lower when possible.

Look forward to hearing more from Khushank.
