Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.

Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – needs some work
Notes: Dear Parent: please see if these tips will help you:
1. we’d advise you do an audio (not video) recording, so that the child is not looking at camera, and pays attention to tootly video instead
2. If a child doesn’t catch a line, just pause the video and give the child time to repeat it
3. Ensure child LISTENS when she needs to and sings only in GAP. Please rewind the vide and restart so that the child can atleast do this process correctly.
Dear Helly – You’ve tried well with Tootly but keep practising this exercise the same way – after a few rounds see if you can sing atleast 2 lines by yourself? then try to sing the full song by yourself.
Additional notes (if any): You can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading, if needed.
