Dear Parent,
This vocal exercise is part of the set that all students of classical music learn. Once the first stage of expanding the voice range, getting stability while singing, and being able to sing with ease in different directions is achieved, students move on to exercises created by jumping notes like these. Think of them like training exercises for their voices.
In this particular song, we are checking a few things: if students can jump and land correctly. Just like coming down a slope, the downward pattern is even more difficult and tests if the students have begun to create mind-maps of the notes.
Krisha has sung this correctly and well. Please also see our point-wise feedback below (based on needs work/ good/ excellent):
Confidence and Independence – good
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good
Notes: Well done, Krisha. This is a tough exercise and its great you have understood the concept well and are able to sing quite well on your own too.
You can listen to 2 or even 3 at a time (instead of 1) phrase and then repeat whenever youw ant to practice with Tootly now.
You’re in the final stretch of Course 1 – so keep up the pace. You will also get a Course Completion Certificate soon.
Hope you enjoy the last few lessons of Course 1. Ask us details of Course 2 if you’d like to continue your musical journey with more fun, more lessons and take the hobby forward.
