Hi Risha,
Glad to see you doing your lessons regularly. Keep up the good work and here are some stars FunnyMouth and Tootly have sent for you from the sky so high! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Dear Parent,
Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) sing across a typical vocal range known as one octave and (ii) control their volume and breath as they do so in one go.
It seems that Risha was a bit tentative in singing the song. Since she is young, sharing some tips to help with both confidence and singing correctly. Do see if these ideas help:
(1) Risha needs to get acquainted to the tune first; irrespective of the lyrics. If she is finding the lyrics difficult, she can listen to Tootly sing and sing ‘la la la ‘ in the same tune instead at first;
(2) Pause after each quarter line and ask Risha to repeat it 2-3 times before moving on to the next part, so that the familiarity increases;
(3) Even if she is just listening the first few times that’s ok, she will hopefully get the confidence to sing after Tootly in a few times.
Do try, and look forward to hearing back from you.
