Hope you enjoyed the magic tricks Tootly and FunnyMouth have taught you! Could you read and sing all the notes by yourself? I see you’ve tried sincerely but we also want you to practice a bit more. See notes below please. Keep up the good work and here are some stars from Magician Tootly for you ✨🎩✨✨🎩
Dear Parent,
Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.
Please also see our point-wise feedback below:
Confidence and Independence – good
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – good, needs some work*
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good
Notes: Its especially great to see Mihika listening and repeating sincerely. Listening is a key skill in learning music.
We felt she should sing a bit slower – that will help her sing each note in a correct and stable manner. Can you please practice / try this way? If you’d like, please ask in your upcoming live meet, so we can do this face-to-face too*. It will also help to warm up first with a simple exercise like signing sa, re ga ma up and down before doing this lesson.
Mihika – does this the tune sounds familiar to you (correct answers include: twinkle twinkle, ba ba black sheep, apple-mango-papaya) 🙂
Additional notes (if any): You can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading, if needed.
Look forward to hearing more from Mihika.
Your previous live meet milestone was on completion of Day 18. We hope you have scheduled and done the same. Please ignore if already completed.
