Hi Reeshan
That’s your first time singing with a track, so well done! Did you enjoy listening to yourself with the music? Here’s some stars for you: ✨✨✨✨✨
Dear Parent,
Singing with a track needs the child to focus and coordinate on various elements and is not at all as easy as it sounds:
1. Matching the rhythm and timing with the track
2. Remembering and pronouncing the lyrics correctly
3. Remembering the tune, when and how the line changes etc.
4. (most importantly) Matching the singing pitch with that of the track
Please see our pointwise feedback below on your child’s performance:
Confidence and Independence – good
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – good, needs some work
Rhythm – excellent
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – good, need some work
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good
Very glad to see Reeshan attempt this difficult assignment. As you can see above, its not about just singing the song but also syncing the melody and rhythm. We could see that Reeshan kept self-correcting and coming back to the correct pitch of the track by himself when he was wavering – which shows that he has developed the ability to ‘hear’ the music correctly and also the ability to reproduce a given pitch (whatever it may be).
Very happy with the progress, keep it up! Please do a few more practices so that your singing becomes smooth and confident. Right now, you are relying on the reference audio vocals a bit. After a few rounds, practice with teh recording track (which has only musc, no vocals).
