Well done with the magic tricks Tootly and FunnyMouth have taught you! Could you read and sing all the notes by yourself? I see you’ve sung very well! We’re especially happy to see how you patiently listened to each phrase and sang after it – listening is 50% learning, so very well done on that!
Keep up the good work and here are some stars from Magician Tootly for you ✨🎩✨✨🎩
Dear Parent,
Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.
Kiaara seems to be comfortable with the lyrics and has sung well. Please also see our point-wise feedback below:
Confidence and Independence – good
Understanding of the concept or exercise – good
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good
Notes: Its especially great to see that she has sung the exercise independently too. I see she needs a bit of help in reading the notes which is also affecting her rhythm at times. However, its and EXCELLENT effort and we love her sincerity with this difficult exercise. You can continue listening and singing along for now, till the song becomes muscle memory.
PS – Kiaara – does this tune sound familiar? its nothing but the tune of twinkle twinkle lil star in fact, so it won’t be as difficult as you think.
Additional notes: You can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading, if needed.
