Dear Meera,

Nice to see you are doing your lessons regularly, and hear you again! I see you’ve sung well! Keep up the good work and here are some stars FunnyMouth and Tootly have sent for you from the sky so high! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dear Parent,

Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) sing across a typical vocal range known as one octave and (ii) control their volume and breath as they do so in one go.

Please also see our point-wise feedback below (based on needs work/ good/ excellent):

Confidence and Independence – excellent
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent*
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – excellent
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – excellent

Notes: In addition to understanding the exercise, Meera seems to have grasped that the song is representing the up and down scale of sa, re, ga, ma :-). Meera – just think which line is going up and which is going down? The order of the notes will change accordingly, isn’t it?
Now that you have learnt the tune, try to sing it more like a song than an exercise – this means, joining the words and singing it in a flow as a sentence rather than as 7 individual words. You might enjoy your own rendition more that way 🙂

Look forward to hearing more from Meera and meeting her soon. Your second live meet can be scheduled once you complete Day 18.
