Nice to hear you speak Ms Mridangam’s language!
Do you think you will be able to make your own sentences in Ms Mridangamβs language too?
Here are some yummy fruits Tootly sends for you! πππππππ
Dear Parent,
We hope the children are enjoying this discovery of new aspects and new styles of music. Using rhythm motifs like these is an art, and is well known in South Indian music as βKonokkolβ. For our limited use, it is an extremely useful tool to learn and internalise rhythm, even with all the twists and turns inherent in the pattern.
Samara has done the exercise well and grasped the concept clearly. Do encourage her to learn the other patterns in the video too.
