Youβre almost midway through your second course and already learning so many new things. Hope youβre having fun too π
This is great work. So many stars for you π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«
Dear Parent,
This song is inspired by the song Doe A Deer from an english movie called Sound of Music. A child singing this song well is a sign that she has befriended the notes now and is able to sing a melody which employs the different exercises she has been learning so far.
From here on you will see how we focus a lot more on the sur and various exercises. These are building a great foundation to learn any song of any language or genre.
Divisha has done well. Please see our point wise feedback below:
Confidence and Independence – ecxcellent
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – good*
Rhythm – excellent
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – excellent
Notes: Divisha – practice the Pa, Dh, Ni and High Sa lines a bit more: for this – just listen to the lines from Tootly a few times; then try to humm along with Tootly; now reduce Tootly’s volume so you can hear yourself as you sing.
Please also try to sing with the singing cues given in this assignment’s recording video – as we want to develop the habit of listening to a note and starting the line from it.
If you are able to send us another recording – we will be happy to hear it! π
Overall, compared to her earlier recordings, we can see the smoothness and confidence with which she has sung this song – the mistakes in tune aside; to a listener, it feels like listening to an actual song and not just a few lines put together – that’s great, Divisha, keep it up!
