Nice to see after a short gapy! Well done with the magic tricks Tootly and FunnyMouth have taught you! Could you read and sing all the notes by yourself? I see you’ve sung well! Keep up the good work and here are some stars from Magician Tootly for you ✨🎩✨✨🎩
Dear Parent,
Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.
Ameya has done well with trying both aspects above. Please also see our point-wise feedback below:
Confidence and Independence – good, needs some work
Understanding of the concept or exercise – good
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good, needs some work
Notes: Since this exercise is a combination of reading notes and singing – its a good training of how we learn songs later on. Ameya has done well when singing along with Tootly and we’d suggest she do that with more confidence since she’s doing so well already. She will become better at singing it independently after a few practices for sure.
If needed, you can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading.
